At Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State, we believe everyone deserves a safe, decent and affordable place to call home. A home is more than walls and a roof. It is the foundation for health, stability, opportunities and hope. When someone lives in unsafe or substandard housing, every aspect of their life becomes harder. Children may struggle in school. Parents may face difficult decisions between rent, utilities, food and other necessities. Many families in our community feel trapped by circumstances they did not choose. Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State exists to help change that story. Through affordable homeownership, preservation, volunteers, partnership and community support, we help income-qualified homebuyers build strength, stability and self-reliance. Habitat homeowners work alongside volunteers, complete financial education and purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. We offer “a hand-up” not a hand out. For more then three decades, Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State has brought people together across our region to build homes, communities and hope. Every donor, volunteer, sponsor and partner helps make affordable housing possible for those who are ready to build a better future. Because when a person has a stable home, everything can change.
