Women Build Week & “She Nailed It!” Competition

At Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State, we believe everyone deserves a safe, decent place to call home. Women Build Week and She Nailed It! bring that mission to life by empowering women, businesses, community groups and neighbors to pick up a hammer, raise awareness and help build homes alongside local families.
These Events are more than fundraisers. They are opportunities to celebrate women’s leadership, highlight the need for affordable housing in our region and invite the community to be part of a life-changing mission.
What is Women Build Week?
Women Build Week is a hands-on volunteer initiative that invites teams of women to help build affordable homes in our service area. Volunteers do not need construction experience to participate. Habitat provides guidance, tools and support so every volunteer can feel confident contributing to the build.
During Women Build Week, volunteers work side by side with Habitat staff, future homeowners and other community members to help make homeownership possible for those who may otherwise not be able to own their forever home.
Whether you are part of business, church civic group, school, club or group of friends, Women Build Week is a meaningful way to serve together.
What is “She Nailed It!” ?
She Nailed It! is Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State’s high-energy, women-led fundraising event celebrating friendly competition, community spirit and the power of affordable housing.
Teams compete in a nail-driving relay while raising funders to support Habitat’s work across the Tri-State. The event also includes community fun, sponsor recognition, opportunities to connect with Habitat’s mission and ways for both individuals and businesses to get involved.
She Nailed It! is the exciting culmination of Women Build Week and a powerful reminder that when women come together, they can build more than walls.
They can build HOPE.
Why it matters
Across our region, too many families are living in unsafe housing that is overcrowded, unaffordable or unstable. Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State works in partnership with income-qualified homebuyers to build houses to call a home.
Homeownership helps families build strength, stability and self-reliance. It can create a healthier home environment, support children’s success and give families the foundation they need to plan for the future.
Women Build Week and She Nailed It! help make that work possible by raising awareness, bringing in volunteers and generating critical funds to support Habitat’s mission.
